Oeo Riding, southern.—The metalling cf the far end of the Skeet road hadoccupied tin l i!ands. This work was now completed, and -rolled down and water tallies cut along the new |K>rtion. As tliev" was no prospect of the work being done by contract, lie had tlie work completed by day labor at a less cost. The getting cut of mainienance metal for the other portions of this road was now in progress. Rahotir riding, southern and Opunake.—Ordinary maintenance repair* and pipe making had constituted the work ir these Tidings. Rahotn riding, northern. — Wet weather had considerably delayed the progress of the contracts, but the putting out of a little extra maintenance in the Rahotu township would complete the work of the crushing plant in this riding on Tuesday. Oeneral.—The timber covering over the -water race which served the Opunake factory, bad collapsed, causing a large hole on the wayside which required immediate attention.
