The Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Hawera), reports:— On July C we held our usual fortnightly sale at Okaiawa. A small yarding of store cows and weaners resulted, the former making from £3 to £5, yearling steers, £1 16s. After the sto:k sale we conducted a clearing sale of furniture, etc., for Mr. P. M. Sutter. On the same day we held a clearing sale on account of Mr. J. McPhillips. Hi 6 cows were early calvers and in good condition, resulting in the satisfactory average of £KK Early calvers made from £lO to £T7 15b, backward cows from £4 to £9, sows from £3 5s to £7 15s, milk carters from £25 to £3O, waggon, £l9. On July 7 we conducted a clearing sale on account, of Mr. S. Rye, of Okaiawa, the cows were good, and therefore good prices ruled throughout. - On July 0 we held our fortnightly nightly sale at Eltham. A fair yarding resulted, and the prices ruled satisfactory throughout. A clearing sale held under instructions from Mr. R. White was also conducted on this day. On July 9 we held our firtnightly Hawera sale. There was a large yarding of sheep and dairy cows, but a small yarding of store stock. Ewes sold on account of the estate of F. A. Bremer, 2-tooth Lincoln ewes ranged from £1 10s (id to £1 15s: 4-tooth, £1 13s; 6- I tooth I'.ni., £1 8s to £1 15s lid; Southdown ewes, £1 lis to £4 4s; fat ewes, . £1 to £l Is 6<l; fat and forward wethers, £1 4s; good lambs, 15s; small lambs, Ds €d; forward ewes, 18s Id; mixed aged ewes, low condition, Ifls Gd. Mr. Larcom's cows were in good condition, but experienced rather a disappointing aver-' age owing to owner being unable to give dates of calving.
