GROUNDS FOR DIVORCE. London, July 10. In tlie Semphill divorce case petitioner gave evidence that Semphill lived for two years in furnished houses in Australia and afterwards at Portsmouth and JVfclta. In April she received a letter frcm respondent that ho did not intend living with her, also certain information which confirmed flier worst fears. A hotel-keeper deposed that Semphill and a woman stayed at his place for four days.
CADET SYSTIEM PRAISED. Times and Sydney Sun Services. . . London, July 9. Speaking at a luncheon to Australasian cadets at the Guildhall, Alderman Sir Charles Wakefield, head of a big firm of oil manufacturers, said that the sooner universal cadet training was adopted in Great Britain the better it would be for the national health, industrial wealth and national efficiency.
