Mr. MoKinnon Wood, Secretary of State for S.otland. handed the King a reply thereto. The King began to read, but after a few words looked puzzled and realised that something was wrong. It was then found that Air. Wood ha<l given him the wrong reply. The King and Queen and all present burst into hearty laughter.
