The Borough Council has decided to ■ take a poll of the ratepayers on a proposal to raise a loan of £IO,OOO for an electric light and power scheme. The aggregate figures are: Music 982, elocution literature, drawing, writing, spelling and sewing 371, physical drill, dancing, half-ihour entertainments 3SB; total, 2114. The financial position of the Exhibition Amusements, Limited, is explained by the reports and balance-sheet prepared for the general meeting of shareholders. they show that the result from tins operations of "Wonderland" during the period of the Exhibition was i a net loss of €3820, and among the business of the meeting will be the consideration of a proposal that the company should go into liquidation^ , STRtCK OFF THE ROLLS, Wellington, Last Night.
