LABOR PARTY'S POLICY. A SOCIALISTIC PROGRAMME.

Fisher, in a speech at Bundabcrg, ! announced that the Federal Opposition I policy favored resubmitting the refert enda Bills as a means of securing in- | dustrial peace and dealing with trusts, combines and monopolies, including the beef trust, which he declared already had a hold in Australia. Other proposals were State-owned overseas steamers and an Atlantic cable, national insurance, a Commonwealth bank, uniform railway gauge, caTeful nursing of military and naval defence, but relentless opposition to borrowing for defence, the continuance of the maternity bonus, the provision of funds for the prevention and cure of cancer, consumption, and the red plague.
Mr. Fisher added: "We fully favor reciprocal relations with New Zealand, Canada, and the other dominions, and that evert means be adopted to draw „tliem closer together.
