THE POPULAR SWEEPSTAKE. By Cable—Prcs3 Association —Copyright Received 5, 5.5 p.m. London, July 6. Mr. Hobhouse, in moving the Post Office vote, said that £750,000 worth of postal orders is yearly sent to sweepstake promoters on the Continent, and the Government hoped to legislate to stop the postal distribution of sweepstake circulars.
