There was a wild,scene at the Carnarvonshire sessions, when Georfina Lloyd and Phyllis North were each sentenced to three months' imprisonment for window-breaking at Criccieth. Lloyd attempted to leap over the dock, but five warders held her down. North is otherwise known as Olive Wharry. She inherited £90,000 three years ago. Miss Wharry was one of the suffragettes who set fire to the tea kiosk in Kew Gardens.' For this the suffragettes paid compensation.
