INDIAN MISSION

A SALE OF WORK. In order to further the good work whi<fli- Ramabai's Mission is doing in India among ihe unfortunate widows o! tli'e country, a sale of work was opened ia the Good Templar Hall yesterday and will be continued there today. The work of the miasion is sufficient to commend the, salctot'h® pulblic. At the present time between 1400 and luflO young- widows are being cared for anil educated in Ramabai'a institutions and being trained to earn their own livelihood. The one hundred and fifty workers in these institutions have all been trained by Ramabai, and several of theim havu matriculated and .gone tip for their degrees. Thie mission is not connected ■ with «ny pa-Tticvflar church. All the cihurohes receive /benefit ft's the result ofiher work, for the women trained by her go forfji and help in the work that is being carried on by the different mission stations.

TJie various titalls are heftvily laden with 'beautiful work', and it "is to be hoped that tcwnspeople will visit the sale in large numbers, and that a con-' s'derable portion of die goods which are being offered will be disposed of before the saile finally closes this evening-
