Norfolk Island is en f ete to-day in connection with the ceremony of transferring the administration from Mew South Wales to the Commonwealth Government. The Acting-Administrator read the proclamation vesting the control in the Governor-General instead of in the Governor of New South Wales. The Administrator at night entertained the whole of the inhabitants at a ball hi honor of the occasion.
