ACCIDENTS TO SEAMEN.
COMPENSATION LAWS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, July 1. In view of the recent High Court ruling that a seaman injured qutside the three-mile limit of the Australian coast is unable to claim compensation under the Commonwealth law, the Seamen's Union has drafted a new clause for inclusion in the articles, entitling an injured seaman to claim compensation wherever an accident may happen. This clause is included in the articles signed by the crew ot the Niagara. The Seamen's Federation lias demanded its inclusion in the articles of all ships trading to America and New Zealand.
