The Chief Justice to-day allowed a motion by the New Zealand Shipping Company tioi quash a by-law of the WelliTngton Harbor Board, the effect of which judgment is that the Board is not exempt from liability in regard to tlio Harbor Board ei-anes employed bv the shipping companies, even if the negligence 'be that of the manager of the lift.
