AN EMPLOYER. FINED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Psmnevirke, Last Night. J. H. Eedfern, a grocer, was fined £3 and 7s costs for failing to allow leave to an employee to attend the annual Territorial training camp. The accused 'had applied for exemption for the employee, whicii was granted on condition that the latter attended the casual camp, which lie did not do. The defendant intimated to an officer of the Defence Department that 'he 'would sooner pay his employee's line than lose his services. His Worship said it would never do to Oet inconvenience interfere with the proper administration of the Act.
