DEATH PROM HEART FAILURE. By Telegrapli—Press Association. Gisborne, June 23'. Frank Lemarquand, engineer on the tug Karora, died from heart failure on boarding the steamer this morning. He had been connected with, the loctil lightering service for many years. FOUND DEAD ON RAILWAY LINE. Auckland, June 23. An elderly man, named Thomas l Heffeman, was found dead on the railway line at Elleralie. The body was much mutilated. It is supposed tlhat tine man had fallen , through the sleepers on the bridge while crossing the line. SCHOOL TEACHER COMMITS SUICIDE. Christcnuirch, June 3. Rubina McGill, aged 42, single, a school teacher, committed suicide today by cutting her throat witih a razor. Evidence showed that Miss McGill had been worried by her suspension by thj board through an alteration to the attendance register. She felt her position was hopeless. A verdict of suicide whilst in an unsound mind won returned.
