SERIOUS EXPLOSION.

MAN INJURED. By Tele;raph*-Press Association. Palmerston N., June 23. A serious explosion of gas occurred last evening, when J. Bell, of Bell and Co., cordial manufacturers, entered a room at the factory with a light, not knowing that the jot of the gas heater had been left turned on.' A violent explosion was the Tesailt. Bell was severely burned about the face, neck and hands and suffered great pain. Medical assistance was promptly summoned. The sufferer is doing an well as can be expected.
