SHORTAGE OF BEEF EXPECTED. By Cable—Press, Association—Copyright Received 22, 8.15 p.m. Melbourne, June 22. The superintendent of the abattoirs, in the course of evidence before the Meat Commission, said that a heavyshortage of beef was expected owing to partial droughts. Cattle were now worth 260s to 3605.
