TARANAKI EGG CIRCLE.

AXXUAL MEKTIXG. The annual meeting of the Taranaki Egg Circle was held on Saturday night. Mr W. Scott precidcd. RESORT. The report stated that the year under review, like its predecessor, had been most successful, though the number of new members had. not been so great as in ttfie previous year. The total membership was S2 as against 75 last yeai. During the year, the circle handled over 28,455 dozen eggs, an increase of 5000 dozen over the previous year's total. About 10,000 dozen eggs were shipped to other markets in New Zealand which of coutsc considerably relieved the local market, and it would he readily seen, that were it not for the circle, it would be impossible for individual poultry men to dispose of tl»civ eggs locally at an average net price of anything approaching 10% d for She year. It had been thought advisable by the committee to appoint a delegate to attend the last New Zealand Poultry Conference at Wellington, and valuable information had been gained thereby. The average price of eggs for the year was nearly 10% d, which was %d better than for the year 1912. A branch of the circle had just been formed at Inglewood, with a membership of six rand a flock ol over 1<»0 birds. It was anticipated that the membership of this -branch would rapidly increase when the advantages , of the circle were fully eamprthended. The report was adopted.
