THE OLYMPIC GAMES.
ADOPTING NEW REGULATIONS; *BWORN ON THE FLAG. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Paris, June 10. The Olympic Congress adopted a picturesque regulation that competitors should be sworn upon their country's flag that they had not forfeited their amateur status.
The Olympic eonference has agreed to women being eligible for certain competition!. It also decided that an athlete having competed for one nation shall be eligible afterwards to compete for another nation.
It was resolved to recognise the amateur definition adopted by the various governing bodies, but where the latter do not exist the Olympic Committee will frame a definition. The conference refused to recognise Finland and Bohemia as separate nations.
WOMEN MAY COMPETE. Received 20, 5.5 p.m. Paris, June 20. The Olympic Games Conference has decided to allow women to compete in swimming, yachting and tennis, and decided to establish an International Amateur Boxing Federation, which will meet in London in 1915.
