BARQUE ON A ROCK.

IN KANGITOTO CII ANNUL. Pnr Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. While beating through the Rangitoto Channel during the early hours of this morning, the barque Joseph Craig, inward' hound from Melbourne, struck on the Rough rock. The accident occurred during a heavy rain squall. Although the barque, was eventually floated off with the rising tide, it is feared that the vessel lias sustained extensive damage forward. The Joseph Craig was subsequently towed into port, and as soon as the cargo is discharged the barque will be docked for repairs.
