AN IMPERIAL SQUADRON.

Owing to the improved international situation and quickened delivery of ships, the Admiralty will accelerate the sending of a battle squadron of Drcadj*ujghts to the Mediterranean. It is -AsWu.that the Admiralty will base three of the battle cruisers now in the Mediterranean, and the gift ship New Zealand on Gibraltar, as the nucleus of an Imperial squadron free to cruise the Atlantic or the Pacific, according to political circumstances. The Telegraph recommends sending the Imperial Squadron to the Cape; Now , Zealand, Australia and Vancouver, bringing, via the Panama Canal, the dominion representatives to the Naval Conference, which will coincide with the celebration of the Prince of Wales' twenty-first birthday.
