MAORI LANDHOLDERS.
ADVISED NOT TO SELL. By Telegraph—Press Association, Mastcrton, Lasf Night. At a sitting of the Maori Land Board to-day, Judge Gilfcdder stated that although « freeholder himself, he advised the natives to lease instead of selling their lands. If they leased, they received at least 5 per cent on the value of the land, whereas if they sold, and the money went to the Public Trustee, they would probably receive only 4 per cent.
