Recently the Federal Arbitration Court ordered the cancellation of the » registration of the Federated Mining Employees' Association of Australia under the Act, on tho ground that the ! rules did not comply with a certain schedule ol the Act. * The decision had a far-reaching effect. A meeting of tho Federated .Miners' i.xccutivo at Ballarat to-day decided to declare a general strike if a registration in the Federal Arbitration Court was not made secure immediately. It was stated that the strike would affect ten thousand miners.
