London, June 18. The Norddeutscher-Lloyd steamer Bonlow, homeward bound from Japan, went ashore during a fog near Portland. The passengers and crew are safe.
THE LESSON LEARNED. London, June 18. When the Kaiser Wilhclin 11. encountered the fog, the watertight doors were closed. This precaution saved the vessel. The steamer Sopsewood has arrived at Cowes. She collided with the Ham> burg-Amcrika liner Etruria o(V the Isle of Wight in a fog. The latter is making for Newport.
