THEATRE ROYAL PICTURES.
The change of programme at tlic theatre Koyxl Pictures to-night should introduce another 'booklet of fine entertaming films. The main attraction is a big Kalem 2000 ft star release drama, "The Country Seat of War,"- in two parts, introducing some new ideas from the picture world. A moat varied supporting programme is included, consisting of a great comedy list headed bv a Keystone injury-maker "love and Gasoline," in wJiieh these clever artists are said to again ecUpsip tJlieinselves. An interesting Uaumont educational in "Making Steel by Siemens,' Process" should meet with much approval, and altogether a very enjoyable two Qiou.ru should result. EMPIRE PiOTUUiIS. The new programme screened at the Umpire Picture Palace last night is rtrong in drama and rich in variety. The star offering U "The Shadow of Guilt/ which is the story of a pothunter's scheme for marrying the daughter of a millionaire. True love, of course,, enters into the question, and runs as unevenly «s a switchback railway on tho Audironack mountains. Eventually the heroine marries the object of her affections, but the areliplotter procures her husibanus dismissal from his post, and the pair are reduced to object poverty. For some time fate aids* the scoundrel. He earrieti out «, daring plot and imprisons the millionaire in the garret of his own mansion. He then declares that uric latter has been drowned, anil is about to seize his property under a will made in pique in favor of the villain of tho piece, but an unforeseen conflagration frustrates the plot. The story is thrilling, and the dramatic incident is well interprets.. Another excellent drama is "Stanton's Last Fling," the story _of a ruined gambler who abandons his intention to commit suicide just in time to effect the thrilling rescue of an English girl who has been imprisoned on tjie Continent. " The supporting (programme includes views of "Trolhatten Falls," an interesting number of the '•'Warwick Chronicle," and several comedies, which nvnst be seen to be appreciated.
