A young native, Tu Pomare, of Huntly, was sentenced to 18 month*' imprisonment at the Hamilton Supremo Court to-<lay for thcit of a gold chain and brief bag. Wm. Ready, a youth, and Isaac limit, an elderly half-caste, were acquitted < n charges of indecent assault on girls under 10 at Hamilton and Rotorua respectively. W. Stone, of Hawera, was convicted of the theft of a horse, and admitted to probation. S. Carter, of To Aro'ha, was convicted of the theft of three cows, and admitted to probation.
