STRATFORD DAIRY COMPANY,
FURTHER EXCESS OF EXHIBITS.
The manager of the Stratford Dairy Co., Mr. Kirkman, has every reason to be gratified with the awards for butter exhibits at the Palmerston Show, and especially at being bracketed first for the championship. Both at New Plymouth and Hamilton this year the Stratford butter obtained the highest aggregate points in the classes in which it competed, and the Palmerston awards prove that the butter won on its merits.
The honors obtained have thoroughly justified the reports received from the London buyers for the past few years—ever since pasteurisation was adopted at •the local factory. These reports have been consistently cpuched in terms of the highest praise, such as "Quality perfect," "Nothing to suggest by way of improvement," "The finest butter" we have handled." Great as is the credit due to the manager, a large share is due to the directors, who have equipped the creameries and factory with the best and latest appliances. They have also backed up their staff in keeping the suppliers up to the mark with their niitk, and in adopting pasteurisation. The result is that the output has attained the highest possible position, reflecting the greatest.) credit on all concerned, and particularly on the butter-maker. Hearty congratulations to all!
