"MONEY I WANT!"
AN ARMI'D -ROBBERVS STUNT.

Patrick Gunn. aged 18. was charged at the Police Court with having, on May 21, at Kokimarama, assaulted Ellen Cook with a revolver with intent to rob her. Mrs Cook stated that she was the wife of a laborer living «it Kohimarama. About midday accused enquired for the manager. She replied shie was the manageil, lAJceused displayed a 'revolver, and pointed it at her, saying, "Stand aside 'or I'll fire. Money I want, and money I'll have." He ordered her to get a. ihandbag which was hanging in the kitchen. She ; spread the contents of the bag on the table. There was a threepenny-bit, two pennies and a Jilaifpemty. Accused did not take tine money. Accused left remarking, "If you don't leave thivt place in half-an-houir you'll ibe a dead woman." A fortnight later she saw accused in Queen street, anil pointed him out to her (husband, who took accused to a constable. The defence was that Mrs Oook had mistaken the identity of Iter assailaiit. He pleaded not guiity, and was committed for trial.
