The Prinee of Wales took part in his first public function. He laid the foundation stone of St. Elms' Church, Kennington, on the Duchy of Cornwall estate. He received an enthusiastic reception. The King subscribed £IOOO to the church, and the Prinee of Wales £IOOO.
The Prince of Wales is Duke of Cornwall, and owns a considerable amount of property in London.
