London, June 15. YA thunderstorm, the severest in London in the memory of living people, produced a tropical downpour for several hours, and a phenomenal fall of tiaiL A numher of children sitting under trees at Wandsworth were struck by lightning. Tliree are dead and others ■"(fere severely injured. Elsewhere many persons were injured, »nd houses and • chimney-stacks were damaged. Floods occurred in the southern and south-eastern suburbs, and traffic was disorganised.
