RIFLE SHOOTING.
A COMPANY v. HIGH SCHOOL. On Saturday the A Company, Taranaiki Rifles, fired a match on the Hewn Rcwa rifle range against the ilipU School lads. With the hoys' fine performance in itlie schools oi the Empire match fresQi in one's memory, it was expected that -Wiley would shoot wol, but with the exception of Candy and Lucona none of the lads iha~ done any shooting except service shooting with open sight* since .they had fired for the Daily Mail trophy last year. The hoys, however, slltot remarkably well, aiul beat the Territorials somewhat comfortablv. .Considering the fresh! and- bitterly cold wind tnat was blowing. Candy's and Lneena's scores would do them credit in any company. Following are the scores:
