CONFERENCE ASKED FOR.
®y CalJle —Press Association—Copyright Sydney, June 13. The Minora' Federation has asked the Employere' Association for a conference the afternoon shift trouble. The'employers' reply points out that the matter *hgs already been dealt with by several tribunals. The men onust obey the awards as the employers have obeyed 'them. It is stated from another source that the proprietors are determined not to open the mines until the men are ready to work the disputed shift. The trouble is causing a congestion of shipping at Newcastle.
