FATAL FISTICUFFS.

YOUNG MAN KILLED IN A FIGHT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Titnaru, Last Night. I A man named William (or David) Wells, belonging somewhere | south, but employed lately as a farm hand at Willowbridge, was killed in a fight with another young fellow named Landers. The fight occurred at Morven on Friday night. Landers appeared to be getting the worst of it, but his last Mow knocked down Wells, who 'never rose again. Seeing that he did not come round, he was taken to a doctor at Waimatc and was operated on yesterday morning at the hospital for intra-cranial injury and ruptured blood-vessel. Landers went to the police station and said there had been a fight, but no foul play. He was arrested. A post mortem has been ordered.
