SYMBOLICAL PROCESSIONS. " MAORI CTIIEi'S TAKE PART. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, June 11. At the Peace Centenary Ball, in the Albert Hall, was a representation of Columbus, with his two captains, standing on the poop of the Santa Maria, watching a procession of Indians, Pilgrim .Fathers, Quakers and Friends, and Dutch pioneers. A second procession symbolised the English-speaking peoples a: the earth, and included a representation of Australia, arranged by Lady Reid, wherein Dr. .Mawson and other nativeLorn Australians participated. The ball was a brilliant spectacle, with wonderful costumes and an elab--01 ate red, white and blue color scheme. The New Zealand party, arranged by Miss Mackenzie, included the Maori chiefs.
