"SAN TOY." Membei's of the New Plymouth Operatic Society are getting into their work ill first-class style for the presentation of the above opera. Mr Remind has the chorus work well in •hand, niid is more than pleased with the talent at his dis-iJos!iu-.i _ In a very, short time now the cast will ibe inade, audi then business will lake a more definite form, And work start in real earnest. Unfortunately for the society, Mr R. llill-.Tohn- : son has had to resign his positbn of stage manager, owing partly to illhealth and .partly to pressure of business. His successor has not definitely beeii ' chosen, but whoever he is will'have a hard row to hoe.
