BRIBERY AND EMBEZZLEMENT PENALTIES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Pekin, June 7. The presidential decree imposes the death penalty on officials accepting bribes to effect the miscarriage of justice. Lesser bribery offences will entail banishment to unhealthy districts. The death penalty 'will be inflicted on official embezzlers of £SOO and upwards. The Government prohibits native Christians from street preaching, fearing the spread of treason.
