HEADQUAIITERS CHANGES. By Tek^raph—Press Association. It is stated that tlic position of the Oihcer Commanding the Wellington military district in succession to Colonel E. \\. C. Chaytor, who is taking up tlic cilice of Adjutant-General to the New Zealand forces, will be offered to Major Johnston, at present on furlough from India. Major Jolinnton is a New i!ealander, being « son of the Hon. * ,T Johnston, if.LXi, of Wellington. The acceptance remains subject to the approval of the War Offiac. Captain 0 R iMacDoimld, of the Royal Warwicfosbiro Regiment, at present en route to New Zealand under engagement to tha Defence Department, will succeed Lieut - Colonel Braithwaite, who has been ap. pointed Chief of the general Staff, as General Staff-officer for the Auckland district.
