THE HIGH COMMISSIONER ACTIVE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 28, 10.20 p.m. London, May 2S. Hon. Thos. Mackenzie had a lengthy conference with the president and secretary of the French Chamber of Commerce at London respecting the extension of trade to France, particularly in produce. Mr. Mackenzie detailed the situation of the meat industry of New Zealand, which was extending its markets, especially in the United States. The president intimated that he was anxious to facilitate an increase of the trade.
