A verdict of wilful murder was returned against William King, charged with the murder of his wife. A cable from Sydney on May IS stated that the body of Mrs. King, with the head almost s»vcred from the body and a broken razor near by, was found outside her house. The victim had on the previous day obtained a maintenance order against her husband, who visited the house and had words with his wife. He disappeared, but was arrested after a long chase. The seven-year-old daughter, one of the six children with the mother when the attack was made, says the murderer exclaimed, "I've long promised you this, and now I ve given it to you I"
