OLD MAN MISSING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Grcymouth. Saturday. An old man, named Dawes 1-ennon, lias been missing from his hut at liarrytown since Saturday.
railway: man dkovvxkr Core, Saturday. John 0. Carroll, aged 38, employed on the permanent way of the Raihvav Department at Mataura, was drowned at fi.3o this morning. Deceased was crossing the .river in a flat-bottomed boat <*» hissectios on the opposite sid" and was washed over the falls. The boat was picked up four miles below Mataura. So far no trace of the body has been found. Deceased leaves a wife and four children, the oldest eight years of age.
