DEADLY LEVEL CROSSINGS.
ACCIDENT NEAR AUCKLAND.
By Telegraph—Press Association. [ Auckland, Last Night. A collision occurred to-day between a train and a cart at the Onslow road railway crossing, Kingsland. A baker's cart, driven by Carlton Hepworth, was crossing the line, when the train struck the horse, carrying it with the shafts of the vehicle across the cattle stops. The horse was killed, the cart was greatly damaged, but Hepworth jumped clear, sustaining only minor injuries. This crossing is particularly dangerous. A similar accident, with fatal results, occurred there a few months ago.
