THE WINTER SHOW.
All arrangements for the above. Show are well advanced and the committee is contemplating several improvements in the way of staging exhibits so that they will lie seen to the best advantage, and at the same time eeeonumi-ie space. The .judging of the Field Hoots Acreage Competitions is now just about completed, and the judges' report having seen some excellent crops during their tour of inspection. The result of these competitions will be made known on the first day of the show.
Probably the .section that will be most keenly contested this year will he that of poultry, as breeders from all over the North Island have written for schedules and signified their intention of sending birds along. Besides the excellent prizes that are offered, there will again be Mr. S. Smith's challenge cup for the. best bird in the show. The side shows this year will be of a very superior standard, and will no doubt add to the attraction ol our great Winter .(Exhibition. Kntries for all sections close with the sceretarv.
