THE OPUNAKE RAILWAY.

SOD-TURNING ARRANGEMENTS. (From Out Own Correspondent.) The turning of the first sod of the Opunake railway will take place on the railway reserve route, at a spot known as "Million's Paddock," which is. about two minutes walk from the post office.

The complimentary luncheon to the Hon. W. Fraser, Minister of Public Works, will take place in the Town Hall at 1.30 p.im. on Thursday. The ceremony of "turning the 80d" will take place about mid-day.
