INGLEWOOMTRATFOBD FOOTBALL MATCH.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Kindly allow me spaee in your paper for a few remarks on your Inglewood correspondent's comment with regard to the football match played here last Saturday between Inglewood and Stratford. To begin with, I do not believe he could have been present at tho match, otherwise his notes would not have been so much at random. He evidently thinks that Stratford did all ithe playing and was very unlucky in not doubling the score. I would like to say, as a lover of fair play, that the Inglewood lads were in no way disgraced, and that six or eight points WOTild have been more .like the difference between the two teams. If the only way of encouraging young players to don the jersey is by crying them down he would be wise to leave football com- j ments to some more capable person, but if he has a suggestion to make that would'be for the good of the team, then I will be one of the first to listen,—l am, NOT A KNOCKER; BUT A BOOSTER.
