FIRES.

COFFEE PALACE BURNED. By Telegraph—Press Association. ChristcfcuTch, Last Night. The Glasgow Coffee Palace and Private Hotel in Manchester street was destroyed by fire early this evening. It was a two-storied building, containing fourteen rooms on the first floor. The ground floor was used as a restaurant. The fire originated near' the bathroom. When the brigade arrived the flames hod gained a solid hold on the wooden framework. The blaze was extinguished very promptly, but the building was practically gutted. The furniture and fittings wcTtr insured for £250 in the Norwich Union office. Tile tenant estimates his loss at £IOO. If jour property ia not insured, call at or ring up the United Insurance Company, Ltd., Currie street; telephone 190. J. C. Spedding, district agent. Insurances effected on the most favorable terms.—Advt.
