SUPREME COURT.
AN INCENDIARY SENTENCED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Tuesday. In the Supreme Court this morning Alfred William Aldred, convicted at, Oamaru of arson, was brought up for sentence. The jury found Aldred guilty. A point was reserved for the Appeal Court as to whether he was mentally responsible for his actions. The Court confirmed the verdict. Mr. Justice Sim sentenced the prisoner to six months' imprisonment, prisoner to be afterwards detained for reformatory treatment for a period not exceeding' five years.
