A Lovers' Tragedy
PAINTER SHOOTS HIS SWEETHEART. AND COMMITS SUICIDE. THE GIRL'S AWFUL WALK, By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received IS, 12.30 a.m. Sydney, May 17. Another tragedy occurred at Alexandria. Charles Webber, a ship's painter, shot his sweetheart, Lottie Ileatley, a domestic servant, and then shot himself. Webber is dead. Miss Heatley walked a mile and a hall to her mother's house, with three wounds in her head. She has been sent to a hospital, and her condition is serious. The cause of the outrage is unknown.
