One, travelling backward?, was going to the shed. and the oilier, moriui: ahead, was proceeding to the platform. The tender o! the lir=t engine hit tin: corner of the second engine, which -was >i small one, cnti-liing ilio tender in against the firebox and boiler and tertibly mutilating the fireman, David Donovan, who must have been l;illc;l instantly. The driver escaped injury. It is not clear how the accident happened. r.utli engines carried light;. Donovan was a married man, with one . young child.
