FIRES.
A WANGANUI BLAZE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wangamii, Thursday. A fire broke out at 2.5 a.m. at 'the residence of Mrs. J. N. Nixon, Wangamii East, and a building of sixteen rooms was totally destroyed, one of the inmates having a narrow escape. The insurances were £SO on the house in the Royal Exchange Office and £IOO on the furnitures in the Yorkshire Office.
