MADDENED NEGROES.
FROM PLUCKY OFFICER. + By Cable —Press Association—Copyright Received 14, 9.50 p.m. New' York, May 13 The OM Dominion liner Jefferson, on which eight men were killed by an aiplosien, has arrived. The passengers state that when the explosion occurred the first •flicer fought back a score of maddened negro passengers, who sought to throw themselves into the sea. A woman passenger attended four of the survivors of the steam-filled compartment, saving their lives.
