SILVER WEDDING.
MR. AND MRS. J. BROWN. A large number of friends of Mr. and ■Mrs. J. Brown, of Durham road, assembled at their residence on Friday last, to wish them good luck and prosperity oil the occasion of their "silver wedding." The afternoon was devoted to the entertainment of . a number of the older generation, and in the evening some thirty guests, mostly young people, assembled for dJlncing and indoor games. At about 11 p.m., an adjournment was made_ to the supper table, which was be:' utifully decorated and adorned in the centre with a "silver wedding" cake. Mr. and Mrs. Brown were the recipients of some hanfcomc and useful presents.
